What are you climbing?

North of Alicante, the crag at Pego has some good routes 4-6b ish. It's a pain to find but you can park next to the crag and it's well sheltered. There are also always kids climbing on the single pitch stuff at Toix on the south side of the crag. Both these are probably 45 minutes north of Alicante.

There's a decent collection of short, easy routes at the far left end of the western sector at Marin, near Petrer/Elda. Not much shade though, if it's sunny. Same can be said for the south side of Forada.

The new stuff that Rich Mayfield bolted in Echo Valley seemed to be popular. Nice range of grades and a 30 second approach.

In reply to slinky wizard: Montessa is a good crag to go to.
