My Mixmaster jacket and trousers are a bit threadbare and I'm looking for a replacement. I initialy had reservations about how apropriate softshell would be for Scotland but I've used them for all my winter climbing and skiing for about 8 years and I'm now convinced. If they still made them I'd order another set, but they don't.

I would like something similar - any ideas?
In reply to Gav M: The Patagonia Northwall Jkt is pretty similar to a mixedmaster.

In reply to Gav M: How about the Rab vapour rise guide series. I've been using the trousers this winter and am very impressed.

In reply to Gav M: i think mixedmaster was replaced by winter guide which was then replaced by speed ascent. I have SA and its prob a touch warmer than MM. But very good. Not sure what they do now. Epicentre or Mountain Factor may still have SA.
