Am going out to recce the Etape and get some proper hills in my legs. (and no doubt swiftly order a triple, but we'll see how the compact goes....)
Any suggestions on somewhere nice to stay? (place or actual hotel). I'm going on my own so wouldn't mind somewhere friendly, am thinking Annecy or Chambery as IIRR Albertville is a bit of a hole.
