Summary
Come master the art with local photographer Dan Arkle on our new Landscape Photography Workshop. We don't need to say much about Dan and his work, we'd rather let the pictures do the talking. By coming on this course you can have some low ratio tuition to get your head round your camera and learn that it isnt always about being in the right place at the right time.

This course is designed to let you learn the main manual controls and features of your dSLR or mirrorless camera, and then help you use them to take some great landscape photos. The course is designed for those who want to take full control of their camera, and enter the world of possibilities that exists beyond the automatic settings.

Starting at Pure Outdoor at Stoney Middleton, we’ll spend an hour learning and understanding what factors affect the quality of our images. We will discuss technical aspects such as how to get the sharpest, highest quality images possible. We will cover choosing the optimum exposure, aperture, depth of field, and how to analyze histograms. I will start by assuming very little and explain everything as we go along.
We will also cover artistic aspects, such as composition and what makes a good picture work.

Then we’ll go out and shoot until sunset. We’ll go where the light will be best for the weather on the day; either a gritstone edge, a limestone dale or some stunning local woodlands.

After this we will debrief in the pub and assess what we’ve learnt. We will celebrate our successes and gain insight into how we can improve further.

Included:
1hr Interactive Talk at Pureoutdoor
3hr Coaching and guiding in the field
1hr Debrief and evaluation
A maximum of 4 clients per course.

Please note these courses start in the afternoon and continue through past sunset (allows for better light for photography)
