As the title really. Anyone have experience with both the G12 and Air Tech crampons? I have some G14's but looking for some slightly cheaper crampons to trash on less demanding terrain to increase longevity of the G14's.
Thanks,
Marq
In reply to Marq: I have Air Tech's with New Matic binding and I find they are good for all normal snow plod routes, used them in my first (and only) trip to the alps up routes PD/PD+ (nothing challenging) and they were great.
In reply to Marq: G12s are slightly heavier and have longer points. This is advantageous there is more point to wear out so they last longer! They are bit more clumsy on rocks though due to the standing on stilts effect.
In reply to Marq: If you already have G14 then go for Air Tech or maybe Petzl charlet vasak or other similar models, take boots you are going to use to a shop and try options
