I have a Peugot 206 Station Wagon and I'm looking to purchase a bike rack to sit its rear window/boot. It doesn't have a tow ball for one to mount on and I don't want a roofrack style one. What should I or rather shouldn't I go for ?
In reply to n-stacey: If my bike couldnt go in my car (which it does) id pay for a towbar to be fitted and use a towbar rack. Not cheap, but the boot mounted one i had was a pain in the neck.
We used a Thule Clip On High before we got a towbar fitted. Easy to fit once adjusted to the car, you can open the boot when it's on (minus bikes), bikes held really securely, doesn't obscure lights/numberplate. Found it affected fuel consumption a fair bit though.
