UKC

I was under the impression that UKC grades for climbs were going to be brought in line with the grades in the latest Rockfax guides (in the areas that RF cover obviously). This doesn't appear to have happened yet, is it still in the pipeline?
Seems like route descriptions from some of the recent guides (e.g. Dorset 2012) have been added, but grade revisions have not been made.
Do other users think the adoption of the Rockfax grades is a good idea, or are the UKC grades better kept independent?

This work is in progress. We have amended the Rockfax database to allow for better voting

We have linked routes which appear in both databases to the best of our ability. There will be routes which have been missed but the majority of routes are now linked.

We have made a copy of route description data that was in UKC that might have been lost after the merge with UKC data.

The next stage is to merge the two databases which will mean ditching the UKC entry. This is a very complex procedure which may cause some problems. Maintaining the correct route ordering is giving us a bit of a headache but we will sort it.
