I found out today that I can get away for a night on Saturday...thinking of somewhere nice around Lancs/Forest of Bowland. Not for climbing but sort of 'romantic'ish'....any recommendations? Not too pricey...thinking of a pub/restaraunt in a nice village or on its own somewhere?

Cheers

To dine, I would recommend the Freemasons Arms Wiswell (near Clitheroe).

I had a very nice (and pretty reasonable) meal/night at The Plough, Wigglesworth, nr. Long Preston last year - handy for the Trough too.

In reply to Old Skooled: The Trough road at Dunsop Bridge is currently closed to traffic.

To the OP How about the Inn at Whitewell? Great food.

In reply to Escher: Or a bit cheaper the Parkers Arms in Newton in Bowland.
