Due to rapid expansion and continued investment, The Pinnacle Climbing Centre in Northampton is looking to recruit enthusiastic and dynamic staff to join our fun loving team in the following roles:

Centre Manager
Chief Instructor
Full and part time Instructors
Café Manager

Details of the roles available are as follows:



Centre Manager



The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day running of the Pinnacle Climbing Centre, including managing and developing staff, promoting the use of the centre to the general public and driving sales with a particular emphasis on a positive approach to customer satisfaction, care, service and safety. You will be able to demonstrate good computer literacy and language skills, excellent time keeping and be a smart, well presented individual.

Duties

• Key Holding, including opening and closing the premises
• Preparing and organizing the centre to a high standard at all times
• Managing staff and staffing the centre to run all sessions and events
• Managing and implementing Health and Safety Policies, including Risk Assessments, etc.
• Customer facing duties, including reception and telephone calls
• Cash handling and banking
• Actively promoting a constant, positive improvement of staff, instructors, customers and the centre in general
• Climbing instruction and coaching when necessary
• Driving sales of all products and services offered

Experience and Qualifications

The successful applicant will need the following:

• Relevant industry experience
• SPA or CWA (ideally CWLA)
• First aid certificate

Remuneration

Based upon experience and qualifications.



Chief Instructor - full time



Duties

• Instructing sessions and supervising the instruction team
• Session and program planning
• Developing our kids’ clubs and youth climbing team
• Developing and overseeing NICAS to level 5 within the Centre, and working with other climbing walls as awarding centres
• Dealing with customers and staff in a friendly, efficient manner
• Working on reception, taking bookings, phone calls and cash handling
• Working closely with, and assisting centre management in all aspects of the day to day running of the centre
• Selling services and products offered

Experience and Qualifications

The successful applicant will need the following:

• Relevant industry experience
• Must be a keen and active climber
• CWLA & first aid certificate
• Computer literacy and good communication skills

Remuneration

Based upon experience and qualifications.




Instructors - full time and part time


Duties

• Instructing sessions including our kids’ club, youth climbing team, courses, parties and other group sessions and programs
• Delivering NICAS within the centre
• Flexible working
• Dealing with customers and staff in a friendly, efficient manner
• Working on reception, taking bookings, phone calls and cash handling
• Selling services and products offered

Experience and Qualifications

The successful applicant will need the following:

• Relevant industry experience
• SPA or CWA (ideally CWLA)
• First aid certificate
• Computer literacy and good communication skills

Café Manager



The successful applicant will have a passion for great food, be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service and relish the excitement of starting and running a new café.
We are looking for a charismatic and dynamic individual.

Duties

• Ordering products & general stock management
• Maintaining health & safety and kitchen hygiene, including timely completion of all relevant documentation
• Devising new menus
• Preparing, cooking and serving food and managing café staff when appropriate
• Customer service
• Cash handling

Experience and Qualifications

The successful applicant will ideally have the following:

A thorough understanding of food preparation and service; a proven track record in supervising a food outlet; minimum level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and preferably an interest in climbing;

Hours

We are open 7 days per week, until 10.00 pm weekdays, and the successful applicant needs to be able to work to a flexible working pattern to include evenings and weekends.
