Anyone been up on Aonach Mor this weekend?

Planning to be up in Scotland from Wednesday morning, looking for some remaining and accessible ice despite the thaw...

In reply to fairweatherclimber: Was there Fri and most routes bar the twins are suffering badly due to the thaw. We backed off white shark and morwind as they were falling down. Teams on twins reckoned they were still in good nick but that was 2 days ago

In reply to fairweatherclimber: Climbed King's Ransom on Anoch Beag on Sat. There is lots of ice up there even with some melting. If temps stay around zero then it should be game on. We did see and hear a cornice go and cause a slump. Take care.

Climbed Right Twin yesterday, route itself was still good with mostly stable snow and reasonable ice, although it was dripping heavily all the way up. Large cornice can be avoided on the right.

White Shark looked too thin to climb (for me at least), Left Twin looked good still and had a team on it.

Head up the Ben. Climed Northeast Buttress and Point Five at the weekend, the main gullies are all fat and didn't seem to be melting. Go high!

In reply to fairweatherclimber: Did left and forgotten twin yesterday. Left was in good shape but was a bit drippy and forgotten twin via the direct start (which was good) was thin and icy so I'd have put it at III but it still made a great route.
In reply to fairweatherclimber:

Thanks very much for this info guys.

We will keep an eye open next couple of days, it looks like things might be better in a week....
