synthetic jackets....

what is the best way to wash them to keep them performing? for something like the Das Parka or Citadel what washing substances would you use?

In reply to An Triubhas: I washed my DAS with tech wash and then used TX direct in the bath. Careful how you handle it when it's full of water, you could rip some seams. I wringed out the water and let air dry. I think it's important to let air dry, dont let any heat get at the filling.

Don't wash it.

Unless it's really really dirty, it doesn't need to be washed. Just wipe it off with a damp cloth and you're done.

I don't think I've ever gotten a puffy jacket dirty enough to need laundering.

I wash mine all the time. No problems. Dry flat on a rack to stop the insulation settling downwards.
