OFF PISTE - New for 2014....
An Off Piste Introduction course in The 3 Valleys with 6 x ½ days of instruction over the February Half Term week. Other Off Piste Introduction courses include full days of instruction.

Off Piste Introduction – Chamonix. BASI Coach, Simon Halliwell, is instructing this introductory week in Chamonix. Simon did a great job on our Improvers course last year.

Freeride – Dolomites. Francesco Tremolada IFMGA wrote the guidebook and is the local expert. He is a Guide rather than a Ski Instructor, but he will give you some tips, which he does well.

Freeride – Chamonix/Courmayeur. Last winter this course spent most time in Courmayeur due to better snow conditions there. We plan to split the week in 2014 between each resort. Simon Christy BASI is instructing.

Off Piste Perfection – Engelberg. IFMGA Guide, Stefan Sporli, will be joined by a BASI Instructor, depending on numbers. Stefan’s parents are Swiss and he is a fluent Swiss German speaker.

SKI MOUNTAINEERING/TOURING - New for 2014...

Ski Mountaineering 3-day Taster. A cost-effective way of trying out ski mountaineering/touring for the first time. Chamonix-based.

Austrian Haute Route – The Real Thing. Physically demanding with big days. Great satisfaction if we complete. Guided at a 1:4 ratio.

Chamonix & Beaufortain Day Tours. A day in Chamonix before checking out the quiet Beaufortain, south of Megève.

Andermatt Explorer. We will use lifts to make the most of the off piste, combined with short skinning sections to get to the un-touched stuff. Later in the week a two night hut trip will get us deeper into the heart of the mountains. A Perfect introduction to all aspects of the mountain environment on skis.

Introductory Ski Mountaineering – Silvretta. Learn as you move - day touring from huts with light packs.

Ski Ötztal. Based in Solden with 3 lifts running over 3,000m we will have a couple of days off piste, followed by a 4-day hut-to-hut tour.

Ski Tour de Soleil. Starting from Andermatt, a superb intermediate-level hut-to-hut tour to Realp, taking in 4 x 3,000m peaks.

Ski Swiss 4,000ers. Starting in the Saas Valley, we’ll ski the Allalinhorn and Strahlhorn, descending into Zermatt for the 2nd half of the week. Objectives are the Breithorn and descending the Schwarztor Gletscher, from Monte Rosa to Silversattel.

Ski Mont Blanc. For those who have joined the Swiss 4,000ers week. We’ll set aside 4 possible days for Mont Blanc, with the guides choosing the best 2, based on the weather.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ADVENTURE SKI - New for 2014...

Ski Bulgaria. More Balkan touring with Jim Blyth.
Azerbaijan Ski Discovery. Pioneering ski mountaineering expedition. Adventure guaranteed!
South Georgia Sail and Ski. Following two yacht-based trips to the Antarctic Peninsula, we’re setting sail for the Southern Ocean once again.

Those in the know, know of course It's Andermatt we'd really like to keep a lid on!
