I was going to get a dmm renagade and just realised there is an updated version out. From what I can tell the main differance is the gear loops now slope back rather than forward?
Is it worth spending £20ish extra on the 2013 one?

I would try both on in a shop if you can,

The new one is cut a little different to the old one.
I use the old one for work at a wall i work at; and hate it as it bites into my leg. The new cut still bites but not as much.

I'm also in the small size of a size Small and the front gear loops drop kit into my crotch and are unusable, were as the new one slides gear away and have now become usable to me.

Have a look at the new sama too, love it but the rear gear loops on the small are tiny.

In reply to dmor9: I love my old renegade but have to be selective about how I rack (cams go on the second loop and draws on the front) due to the loops sloping forward and pushing gear between my legs. It's not really a big deal but if the new one avoids the problem and fits you properly...
