Did this last week and wasn't sure about the pull over the roof. We went over at the very thin crack just right of the end of the flake. Good gear but a really thin move. Is that right? It seemed like hard 5c to us. The current guide seems to send you further right, but I couldn't see a way through without touching Scratch Arete. The old (89) guide seems to say do it the way we did, but again, I can't see that at E2 5b.
Great pitch, though.

We went a similar way to you by the crack just R of the flake but we avoided the hard starting move by reaching straight up to jugs to the L of the crack first. This way it was 5b. Like you I could not see any other cracks until Scratch Arete.

In reply to edwardwoodward: its certainly a vague description in the new guide. The thin crack just right of the end of the flake felt 5c/6a to me, could not see any thin cracks further right to pull over the overhang,
