The Suckstone, Gloucestershire. Was just wondering if anyone had been here to check it out?

Heard some unclimbed stuff and a decent place worth a visit, just havent heard anything about it

Cheers

In reply to CrimpShrimp: I think it was me that you spoke to yesturday at Huntsham, here is a link to the ukc page http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=1330 there is a fair bit of unclimbed rock in the woods around the area, similar in rock type to that at Huntsham etc.

Go and have an explore, last time I looked was about 15 years ago and we found a fair bit of interest though didn't climb much then - good luck!

In reply to tombeasley: have been there a few times recently. The suckstone itself has a variety of stuff on it, all low with a few interesting routes. quite overgrown on 2 faces but worth a play. as mentioned above, the woods above are full of other stuff, some of which is really good. Great for taking youngsters with you as its flat all the way around if needs be!

The sandstone outcrops guidebook has all the info and routes plus UKC

regards
