Hopefully last post on bikes before I make a decision...

I spotted this on Chain Reaction Cycles and it seems too good to be true so it probably is. I can't find any substantial reviews online however and was wondering if anybody had any knowledge of:

- this model in particular
- Ridley's frame sizing, are they correct / big / small for the size if that makes sense?
- Ridley bikes generally, what's their reputation?
- why this bike has a retail of £999 yet based on online prices seems to sell at the sub £500 mark?
- this versus Decathlon's Triban 5 which gets a superb review in the August edition of Cycling Plus (the Triban 5 outscores a Scott Speedster 60 and Sabre Revolution 13 by some margin)?

Triban info here http://www.decathlon.co.uk/triban-5-road-bike-black-id_8239801.html

Thanks!

In reply to ksjs: wow. nice paint job on the Ridley! cutting edge of fashion that, in about 1983.... be a bit like going climbing in a pink harness and dayglo lycra leggings...

In reply to ksjs: Based on these responses and other research it's a no to the Ridley. Triban is the choice unless I really like the Scott Speedster 60 I'm planning to have a sit on soon.
