The Reel Rock Tour is returning to the UK in October 2013 for its second nationwide tour with the latest instalment of some of the world’s best new climbing films.

Founded in 2006 by filmmakers Josh Lowell (Big UP Productions) and Peter Mortimer (Sender Films), the annual ‘Reel Rock Film Tour’ has grown to over 400 annual screenings in 30 countries. The gripping films regularly receive widespread acclaim and awards at film festivals around the world and are seen by more than 100,000 people annually.

FILMS

This year’s collection of four films feature climbing icons and alpine legends including Britain’s own Hazel Findlay and the “Swiss Machine” Ueli Steck as they push their limits like never before. The films include:

HIGH TENSION - Ueli Steck and Simone Moro traveled to Everest to establish a new route and complete a speed ascent record. Instead the duo were attacked by sherpas and fled for their lives down the mountain in one of the most controversial incidents to occur on Everest in recent years.
SPICE GIRLS - Having mastered the sea-cliffs at home in the UK, Hazel Findlay teams up with Emily Harrington to tackle the massive, untamed bigwalls of Taghia Gorge, Morocco.
THE SENSEI - American Daniel Woods proves himself worthy of teaming up with Japanese Yuji Hirayama for the expedition of a lifetime in Malaysia.
THE STONEMASTERS - A look into the wild world of climbing in Yosemite Valley during the 70's...

Westway Sports Center is also screening this movie in London on the 19th as a part of the new Urban Edge festival.

Do they play the four films in their entirety?

In reply to seanwales91: Yes we do. The shortest film, The Stonemasters is an adaptation of a documentary that is currently being made by Sender Films (not finished) called Valley Uprising. The Stonematers documents the 70's and period of the Stonemasters in the Yosemite NP.

Went to this last night in Conway Hall - great stuff, very enjoyable evening.
