Me and my friend want to spend our climbing vacation from 25-Jul-14 to 11-Aug-14 in northern England/Wales. We usually climb multi pitch routes in the Austrian Alps. These routes have bolted belay points and usually some bolts in between as well.

I'm a reasonably competent multi pitch leader (easy stuff – up to V+ UIAA, dependig on fall potential) and my friend happily follows me up most things. We have no experience in trad climbing.

Any suggestions where to climb in northern England/Wales?

Criteria:
+ relatively easy to place gear (or even sport routes)
+ landscape

We are interested in instructions as well. Any recommendation for free lancing climbing instructors?

Use this link to take your pick of British instructors. North Wales or the English Lake District will give you a choice of wonderful multi -pitch classic trad climbing and don't forget the superb sea cliff climbing on Anglesey in north Wales. Have a great trip.
