If some eejit then pays you by PayPal anyway (unlikely) you can just refuse to go through with the transaction, albeit at the risk of some negative feedback I suppose.
You can put your advert on ebay as a classified add instead of an auction (if you have wish to sell it that way). Then there is just a flat fee of £14.99 to pay.
Motor vehicles are £10 to list, upgrades cost a little extra i.e reserve price then once sold its 1% for final value to a MAX of £35. So even if it sold for 4 or 5 grand the most you'll pay is about £50
