Does anyone who's ridden London to Peterborough have any route suggestions? On this occasion I'd prefer simplicity of navigation over scenery, where possible.
Google suggests a spell along the A1, which no doubt is easy to stay on, but seems like it might be ghastly in terms of traffic.
The Sustrans Route 12 looks promising, but presumably involves turns, small roads etc a bit more. Is it well-signed?
