Howdy,

I'm heading to Newcastle for work today for 3 nights, so looking to get in a couple of boulder sessions. The city seems to be spoiled for choice, with two apparently more or less across the road from one another.

Any recommendations as to which to visit? I'm staying in the centre of town, so tips on how to get there would be good to (Tram? Walk?)

For bouldering you want climb Newcastle, the one in byker wall/South of shields road. A metro from monument to byker will drop you 30 secs from the door, just turn right and cross the road go round to the other side of the building.

Climb Newcastle (the one in the old swimming pool) is a great bouldering wall. Enjoy. :O)

Don't bother with NCC (the one in the old church around the corner), especially if you're just bouldering.
