I was trying to find an avalex or newer equivalent card that I vaguely remember from years ago (I think BMC and/or MCofS). An aide memoir with maybe avalanche red flag stuff, slope angle guides etc.

Does anyone have one, know of an equivalent, or is this all old school and gone with the advent of technology (smart phones!)?!?

Guessing I'll have to make my own

Have a look at the 'be avalanche aware' guidelines and leaflet published by safos and sais.

There used to be a PDF download of the avalex card on the mcofs site.

Or there is a Canadian card called the avaluator.

you can download the PDF or order paper ones. The Eagles ordered a bunch a few years ago. It would be difficult to pack more info on a small sheet of paper or design it better. Phil
