ME Karakorum pants, questions?

So chucked some cash at Karakorum pants and wondered what the under garment of choice is with the UKC cognoscenti?
Also, what's the best method for an underboot strap?

G-string and fishnet tights, nice and cool for the walk in and the fish nets work like brynje mesh and keep you warm and dry.

Ron hill running pants or just normal base layers.
Never bothered utilising the boot strap

I wear light soft shell trousers. Anything too heavy and you'll roast / sweat bucket loads.

For boot strap I just use bungee cord - works a treat and easy / cheap to replace.
