Looking to do the Tranter round this year (potentially any weekend from now onwards if the weather allows) and and was looking for updates of current conditions on the route. Still lots of snow around, or has it melted in the recent warm spell? Thanks
I was on the Grey Corries and Mamores yesterday and although there are a few large patches about the ridges were clear. Felt like a right tit carrying my axe...
@shantaram - I'm interested in answers to your Q as a friend and I are hoping to do it early June. The only bit of snow I think I'm concerned about is what's left on the descent off Aonach Beag (we're going clockwise for a change).
Yes, we were going to do a clockwise round. Starting with Ben Nevis first seemed to make sense. I suspect the round is in reasonable condition right now, but wanted to seek some first hand knowledge first.
