Hi all just wondered if anyone can help me. i have been climbing for around 6 months now and would really like to try some outdoor climbing. I am currently working in Manchester until the end of august and i know there is a lot of climbing to be had in and around the Pennines. Is there anyone that would like to come and do a bit ? i have never climbed outdoor walls/crags before and would need someone that knows their stuff and could help me out. Or if anyone knows of a club maybe that i could join and get out that way.

Search climbing clubs on Facebook, BMC or just generally?

There are loads around and are usually helpful and friendly.

Mine is London-based and we have a steady stream of new joiners although we do require ability to safely belay and a level of ropework knowledge just for safety outside.

Check out if any of the local indoor walls do indoor to outdoor sessions. Will be a great way to get the skills for outdoors and also likely to meet some people that you can continue climbing with.
