Finally decided my poor fingers need some professional attention. Can anyone recommend a good hand / finger specialist in London who understands climbing injuries please?

I would speak to Cristiano Costa. Are you on Facebook? You can find him there, if not let me know and i'll forward a phone number.

In reply to Pete Dangerous: Hi Pete, yes, I know him. I was thinking more of the consultant kind this time.

What kind of problem are you having? Might be better to see someone less specialised in case the fingers are only a symptom of a larger issue.

In reply to humptydumpty: a referral is agreed, just wondering if there's anyone recommended who knows about climbing stresses.

I still don't understand if you're looking for a specific kind of doctor, physio or something else. Good luck sorting your injuries though - never fun.

It seems like she's just after anybody who can be of help?

Perhaps buy this book, and rather than use it for self diagnosis, give it to medical peeps to try and help them get an idea of what you might have done?

I was always told to rest when I was climbing too much. I didn't listen very hard being a keen teenager. MTBing is cool.

In reply to Timmd: hand consultant / specialist, not physio.

I guess you could ring round some and ask if they have knowledge of climbing injuries?
OP Šljiva 02 Sep 2016
In reply to Timmd: yes, of course, but I was wondering if there were any personal recommendations

In reply to Šljiva:

I thought you were, it was the seeming lack of them which made me post.

At least I've bumped your thread in replying...
