iceland winter

Hi

Im going to Iceland for a week before xmas, plan on hiking up some trails and camping by thermal streams etc. Have all my winter kit I normally use in scotland etc. Can anyone help with the following things?

Can you recommend a decent OS type map for the Hveregerdi region?
Can I get gas for my jetboil over there?

depending on exactly where you are planning to go. Although they are 1:100,000 scale,
the detail is fairly good. However the paper quality is very poor compared to OS maps: it's worth laminating them or at least sellotaping the seams before use.

Maps of the area are available at the tourist information centre in the shopping centre in hveragerdi.
Not sure about the jet boil gas. Maybe in Reykjavik.

I found gas with standard thread which worked with primus spider in N1 petrol stations. I emailed in advance to check they had the right cans in the (reasonably remote) petrol station I was passing by. I'm sure Reykjavik outdoor stores will sell them too.
