Hi

Thinking a bit about going to Iceland this winter instead of Norway. Does anybody have a PDF guidebook they could share? How about logistics, where is it best to stay? We are are looking for multipitch WI4-6 ish. Looking to spend about a week there.
Any advice is welcome.

Useful article on Iceland here, though not much on winter climbing: http://www.ukclimbing.com/articles/page.php?id=8852
There's also been quite a few discussions on here over the last few years.

Iceland is less reliable than Norway, and this winter has been warm and seen very little snow so far. With good local knowledge, it should be possible to get something done but it's far from guaranteed unless you head into the Highlands but then you've got logistical - and probably avalanche - problems. I have only been in Spring and Autumn but it does look like there is plenty of winter climbing potential. It would require a good car though. This PDF looks like a good start when planning your trip:

I went at easter in 2015 and it was fantastic, but we were there a few weeks too late for it to be best for climbing, there are some PDFs out there but they aren't that easy to find (we managed to get in contact with some folks out there).

We had a jeep and slept in that which was just about tolerable, i wouldn't commit yourself to one area as you'll miss out on so much of the country doing that! we found good ice on the west coast just inland from the snaefellsnes peninsula and a lot of potential but lack of conditions in the northwest fjords (bildurdalur and isafjordur)

I can try and find the PDFs we had, though they arent extensive!!
