We are looking for an experienced Product Developer & Garment Technologist who can bring their experience, skills and personal qualities to a committed and enthusiastic product team.
You will work closely with the Design team to develop product and with our manufacturing partners and QC function in Asia to ensure accurate delivery.
• Work with the Design team and overseas factories to develop product • Assist with fit process and grading • Prepare accurate technical specifications • Work with factories to ensure Quality Standards are in place before start of production • Make sure that our standards are delivered through manufacturing stages • Carry out QC checks • Continually review product quality
• Highly enthusiastic, with a ‘can-do’ attitude • Resourceful and resilient • Very high attention to detail • Organised and efficient • Ideally a personal interest in outdoor performance clothing • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills • Ability to re-design processes according to the business need • Strong IT skills (e-mail, MS office)
Education and Experience:
• Degree or equivalent in Fashion or Textiles • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of product construction • Excellent organisational skills to manage the approval process with suppliers in line with the critical path • Hands-on factory experience and knowledge of manufacturing • Excellent communication skills • Strong knowledge of the fitting process & grading • Experience of reviewing test reports and good understanding of performance standards • Experience working for a brand or retailer • A full understanding of AQL inspections and reporting
