Not sure if this is a long shot ? I wonder if anybody lives close to or drives by Ben lawers and can / could let me know how low the snow line is ( when it snows that is !) .
Thanks .
I live directly opposite it.
A tiny dusting about an hour ago, and I mean tiny.
Out my window I'd guess snowline, or dustline, as being 500m.
I'll try and remember to update again if we get the snow thats forecast.
Was walking on the Tarmachan and Lawers hills over the weekend there and there's only small small patches left, nothing to speak of. Ground was very moist.
we had, and are having, a bit more snow. But high winds last night and into this morning will definitely of shaped where the snow is now, some slopes are looking scoured.
Any idea what you might be up to Mike? I'm potentially partnerless for saturday if you fancy company.
