I still remember the first time I heard Heat of the Moment (pompous and poppy maybe but still a great listen) and waiting for the next Asia album, Astra. Also of Roxy Music and King Crimson, but I still play Asia in the car and the gym when I want some bright prog rock.

Thanks for all the music and RIP.
In reply to Skyfall:

This was my favourite era of King Crimson......
Red
Larks Tongues in Aspic
Starless and Bible Black

plus the brilliant live Album USA.

Great singer, great bass player, and with Bill Bruford, one of the best rhythm sections around. Fripp described them as being the musical equivalent of 'a flying brick wall'

In reply to Skyfall:

I saw him with Uriah Heep, replacing the late great Gary Thain.

Class bass player, had his own sound.

RIP Mr Wetton.
In reply to Skyfall:

I was a big Family fan and King Crimson too.......really sad news
In reply to Skyfall:

Was able to see Asia a couple of years back when they played Manchester.

Another great voice, and lyrical talent gone to the great Prog reunion in the sky!

I'm sure the family will heed his request to 'Bury me in Willow' -- a song with a lot of poignant memories for me as my Mum and several other family members have requested willow / wicker caskets for their final journey.

Give me no standards nor eulogy
no Red White and Blue
no sceptre or no cloak
just bury me in willow
not in oak.
