Did you climb Ben Nevis in August or September of 1971?
A group of maybe 5 people met a blonde, 10 year old boy on his own at the summit. He was wearing a Munchengladbach football T shirt, along with shorts and plastic sandals.
The (rather surprised) group gave him a cuppa and a sarny before saying goodbye. They also took a photo of him so he could prove he'd made it to the top and promised to send it to him back in Manchester (M20) but the photo never made it.
The boy was my Dad. We'd love to prove to my Uncle that he really DID make the top!
