Long shot. I am living long term in the Amazon nowadays and something that is beginning to become apparent over these first few months is that leaf cutter ants have little respect for waterproof linings. It has not been too bad for me as I hammock (compared to some tent stories I have heard) but I have to repair the tarp or lining with duct tape.

I was wondering if anyone had heard of any advice for a more preventive measure? All I hear out here is farmers telling me to dump pesticides on them, which is not a serious consideration for many reasons.
