I really enjoyed sitting on my sofa shouting 'that's the Langdales! That's Goats Water! I've been up there! That's Dave! He's good at climbing! That's Derwent water!'

Those watching with me did not enjoy my excitable commentary.

Keen to get out tomorrow now!

I don't know much of the area very well but I really enjoyed the drone-shot, summer herding scenes with its spaghetti western soundtrack, starting around 22:50mins:

The part with DB doing his walling repairs starts at 17:00m, and helping the stranded climber at 31:20m

Edit: just noticed it's on again this evening (Saturday) on BBC2 at 7pm.

The spaghetti western soundtrack was probably a piss take to wind Dave up over his Clint Eastwood impressions.
He finds they come quite naturally

Having been involved with a few sheep rescues with uncle Bill, Daves apparent ease at the task belies the speed needed to catch the critter, though a few soothing words in dialect probably help.
Having grabbed said sheep, the bit I find perplexing is how to sling up the beast whilst staying safe and holding on to it.
I was looking forward to seeing that bit of the operation, but it was edited out for some reason.
Might be a trade secret?

Does anyone know the location of the winter scene near the start, of a tree framed by building ruins and hills behind?

I think it is Rake How Farm, St. Johns in the Vale, grid ref NY312222

Honestly, it gives me the king f*cn sh*ts that the BBC doesn't allow Australian viewers to see thier content.
Will have to check YT I suppose?

Agreed mate, a VPN may help though.
