We've had plenty of snow plastered down to below 400m but no thaw to the crest.
This meant fairly brutal plodding as we got higher on Mhadaidh yesterday. The narrowest parts of the crest were actually really pretty good in the small section from An Dorus upward but anything off the sides instantly a ball-ache.
Not my idea of fun for a Traverse. Take legs of steel or allow a week of this high pressure for things to consolidate.
ice in White Wedding looks fat but isn't much to shout about- fell for that in 2015 and had a long runout before I could lower off.
Harder mixed could be good but possibly a bit dry so beware of loose blocks.
May be worth a look at Storr gullies? Saty safe & have fun!
