"A second series of award-winning drama The Night Manager is in development.

Meanwhile, Le Carre announced on Tuesday that fictional spy George Smiley will return in a new novel - the character's first appearance in print for 25 years. A Legacy of Spies will be published in September.

The BBC is also adapting le Carre's The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, in which Smiley also appears, which will air next year."

I'm a huge JLC fan, I collect signed first editions of his books.

Had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times, I used to walk my dog near his house, charming bloke.

Enjoyed the Night Manager on tv very much.
Never seen the lead actor before but have since seen him playing Hank Williams which impressed me a lot.

I enjoyed the Night Manager, even with the changes from the book. (JLC plays a customer at the restaurant where the drunk guy kicks off.)

It'll be interesting to see how well they do TSWCIFTC, but there will only ever be one Smiley for me, (not you Gary.)
