Looks like a good weekend ahead. Anyone got any idea what time the main cliff will get sun this time of year?

Hi Paul

Looking at the map on logbooks, the main cliff faces slightly south of due West.

It should be getting the sun from noon onwards.

In reality,,,,, maybe Main Wall. Not sure it will be dry? Have you done The Savage on Yellow Wall?

Thanks Rick. Even in mid summer I find the middle section is in shade past mid day. I guess the Positron/Rat Race lump and the upper tier keep the sun off.
Yellow wall may be a better, warmer option this time of year.

Right hand side will be in the sun from about 1.30. Savage is a good choice. Make sure you don't go too direct at the top of pitch 2

About 1pm for many routes but it's not a smooth cliff as you know. Regarding Yellow Walls, Savage will be in the Sun early, before 11am I think from memory, however the second pitch is a corner feature that seeps a bit after heavy rain.
Why not try Sunstroke as the warm-up then something on main cliff?

I've done Savage when it was a bit damp and it was fine, it's soft for E2.

I've done quite a bit on the Main Cliff but only a few things on Yellow Wall. The Sind would be a good tick but not sure if It's a bit to early for that kind of tussle.

Trunk line is an ace day out at this time of year....we did it march/April I think. Avoids the early morning gop as you start higher up cliff around Cordon B.
Sun come on earlier from recollection...1.00ish
