Climbing near Bideford?

I'm heading to Bideford next week and fancy some climbing...

A quick look at the map and the nearest is Baggy Point, but I'll be on my own, so unless anyone fancies joining me, that's out.

Can anyone recommend somewhere nearby that would be good for bouldering?

If you have a shunt, you could top rope yourself at Baggy Point. You'd need rope protectors though. A plastic milk bottle or two is what I often use, fixed in place with a prussic.

It is possible you might meet someone there to climb with as it is a popular place.

Your closest crag is probably actually Blackchurch, but it's definitely the sort of place that for most people will require a partner.

Failing that there's loads of bouldering on the Exmoor coast just to your northeast...
