The new SMC guide by Ian Thow (and Noel Williams) just came through my letterbox with a thump. Over 400 pages, covering most of Scotland south of Skye - Inverness, with a third of the routes described for the first time. Colossal coverage, with, at a rough count, only about a third being in the "honeypot" areas. Can't praise it highly enough: what a piece of work.
As usual with the SMC guides, the description "scramble" should be interpreted very cautiously, as a lot of these routes - which include climbs up to V Diff - are pretty serious outings.
And nice to see my personal favourite "quick" way up the Buachaille described: up Broad, cross Cuneiform to the top of Raven's, finish up North to the summit.
