TREE CLEARANCE BELOW CRAGS NEAR ARMATHWAITE IN COMBS WOOD

IMPORTANT NOTICE
During the week from 12th to 16th June there will be major clearance of trees below the crags, upstream from Armathwaite, in Combs Wood. This is being done by the Forestry Commission in association with the British Mountaineering Council and local climbers.
This only affects the area below the crag and not the main track along the top of the crag. Walkers, climbers etc are therefore advised not to go along the footpath below the crag and beside the river whilst the clearance work is in progress.
