Salty Ropes

Whilst climbing on Castell Helen at Gogarth yesterday we got smashed by a few waves on the lower belay. Great fun!

Anyway. Im going to give all my metal ware a rinse to get any salt off. Does anyone know if ill need to soak my ropes to get the salt off them?

I would give them a bit of clean in some warm (not hot) water with some natural soap, it won't harm them and it's always nice to have clean ropes.
