Is anyone in or just comeback from the Dolomites. Off there start of July and just wondering if there is much snow around.

I was there last week of May. Too much snow in gullies and south facing slopes for via ferrata above 2000m. Been warm the last couple of weeks though. Some mates have put recent photos up where it looks very summery but they didn't go high.

What he said. South facing routes with abseil descents and avoiding north facing gullies is the orderr of the day. Was there a couple of weeks ago and went up to the top of Piz Pordoi on the lift with my 4 year old to have a snowball fight. Never seen so much up high this close to the summer season. That said, you'll always be able to do something!

Any further updates on Dolomites conditions? We're off there 14th July for some VF and hut-to-hut (Alta Via 4).
