Kong Futura Hand.

https://www.kong.it/en/2-products/items/f20-rope-clamps/p404-futura-hand

Has anyone any experience of this ascender ?

From the website, it looks as if there is no slot in the top for a biner to stop the rope coming out .
Also the instructions says ok for a wire ! rope, sounds very odd to me, misprint maybe ?

"Fig.5 - “HAND FUTURA”: innovative, right and left rope clamps, with handgrip in front of the ropes, particularly small in size for working with wire ropes and for speleological activities. In the latter case we advise using “FOOT FUTURA” as an extra foot rope clamp."

Really looking for advice for someone who ideally has used one, or at least seen one in the flesh.

Thanks in advance
Phil

No personal experience, but I know a very (as in Very) experienced caver who uses one. Given that he could use, and probably has, any jammer known to mankind, the fact that he opts for this is an indication of it's worth.

I've used one a bit, it was okay but I wasn't keen on a couple of things. The main one was that it couldn't be used as a chest jammer in an emergency unlike the Petzl version as it doesn't have a hole in the top.
Also the little clip was fiddly to use in gloves (until I put a bit of cord on it).
Finally I noticed the hand grip pinched my little finger after a while but I think when you're prussiking for a while, things do start to rub.
To be honest, I've switched back to a Petzl basic hand jammer now.
