Anyone know what this actually is? marketing jargon? is it genuinely a feature unique to sportiva?

I dont get what it actually is.

Marketing jargon for the way the sole unit is made - the idea being that downturned shoes don't flatten out.

It's a plastic strap that wraps around the shoe and reforms to its original shape when it cools down - kind of like a retainer brace. Stops the shoes from flattening out too much over time. In my opinion it works pretty well.

Definitely works well. Testarossas and Katana Laces that have it stay downturned through their entire working life; Miura Laces that don't, don't.

I use Skwamas and thought that such a soft shoe would end up wrecked but they just hold the shape. Madness!
