Dorset Bolt Fund 24 Aug 2017
Advance notice for climbers expecting to go to Battleship Main cliff on Sunday 3rd September :
The Dorset Bolt Fund will be working to replace a large number of bolts and anchors, and therefore access to climbs will be severely affected. We will be starting from the left and work rightwards!
More info here if you want to get involved: https://www.facebook.com/dorsetboltfund/
(Apologies to those averse to Facebook pages - we have a new site coming soon...)

In reply to Dorset Bolt Fund:

An extra bolt or two in some routes there would be welcome if there is metalwork and inclination to burn. Good work guys.

In reply to The Ivanator:

Hi Ivan, yes the routes will be getting a complete rebolt, so it makes sense to rationalise bolt placements where appropriate.

In reply to Dorset Bolt Fund:

Due to a bad forecast on Sunday, the drilling day will now be on Saturday 2nd September!!

In reply to Dorset Bolt Fund:

Hope you had a productive day with the drill, how did it all go?

In reply to The Ivanator:
About 25 attendees, 21 rebolted routes and a new path built. Marti may be able to confirm exactly which run of routes it was that got done.

It started at/near Monoculture and worked rightwards for 18, plus finishing 3 routes on the block. New path is a serious piece of work too.

Looks and sounds like some fantastic work got done. Keep me in the loop for future works, if time allows I'd be up for coming down and chipping in - this time round I had a family errand running my Mother to Heathrow, but I'm keen to get involved in putting something back after many happy days spent on the Dorset crags.
Just stuck a few quid in the bolt fund too.
