What were the midges like on the Grit edges today?

Looking at venues for tomorrow which looks to be similar weather-wise.

Was at Hen Cloud and midges were absent. Lots of flying ants though, and a dead sheep. It smelled baaaad.

Hi Alan
Spent the day at Stanage, pretty near perfect conditions it was a tad windy up to 1ish but then it dropped, didn't see a single midge all day
Hopefully same for tomorrow

Was at Curbar, there were a few midges but overall not a problem. One team had tried Gardoms, and said that the midges were intolerable in the trees with little wind, so they bailed to Curbar also.

Was at Burbage West, Higgar, Carl Wark, Burbage South and North. Lot's o' flying ants (the smaller ones), but only slight midges later in the day. Could be that the sun keeps them away today.
