Aiguille du Midi

***Asking on behalf of a friend...

Today's plan was to climb up the oh so popular Rebuffat-Pierre - so popular in fact it had a throng of teams swarming over it. Instead, we decided to follow some bolts and go up what rock looked interestingly possible.

Any ideas if this is an official route? The bottom pitch was the arete right off the starting ledge. The top pitch was the crux of Voie Kohlmann

I think it is a bit of Voie Kohlmann, then you switched across to the Contamine route, then back to VK again at the top.

First 70m we think is the elusive route 'Jules de Chez Smith' after consulting some books and pictures.
