UKC

How do people go on for climbing partners if they move to somewhere like Spain or France. Mates coming out from the UK can only be part of the answer. Is there a Spanish version of UKC or do people join a climbing club, or what?

Don't know for Spain, but when I first arrived in France I joined the local branch of the Club Alpin Français, went on a couple of the organised outings & very soon started to build up a network of partners for skiing, climbing, etc. Also helped improve my French

The local climbing club nearest us on The Costa Blanca once admitted to a friend that they didnt admit British climbers!

I have no idea if this is true but it wouldnt surprise me!

For Spain, posting in the Busco Gente forum of Madteam.net. Facebook groups - lots of active regional climbing ones. WhatsApp groups. Local outdoor clubs. Local chapter of FEDME. Local climbing wall.
