King Kong Climbing Walls-Operations Manager,
King Kong Climbing Walls are one of the leading climbing wall manufacturers in the UK. Based in Keswick in the Lake District we specialise in designing, manufacturing and installing climbing walls, ropes courses and cave systems as well as other adventure structures.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager, based at our Keswick office to work in a small but highly motivated team to manage, assure, improve and develop the effectiveness of our current processes in relation to operational output of the business. Must have proven track record, knowledge of the construction of climbing walls and be self-motivated. Must be highly proficient using Cad and Google Sketch up or something similar and have a sound mechanical mind.
Key responsibilities will include:
•Manage the staff to include logistics of personnel, health and safety requirements, reporting and rota planning. and the training of new staff.
• Manage project delivery from engineering to on site, including checking drawings, mechanical problem solving and scheduling of work.
• Support the Senior Management team with the Health and Safety aspects of the company to include scheduled checks and controls.
• Ensure staff processes and procedures are adhered to include checks and controls and Company legislation.

Personal Attributes:
• Knowledge of the Climbing Wall industry ideally having worked in a similar role.
• Able to operate autonomously, with authority, skilled in developing and building relationships.
• Expert in the use of management practices and a specialist in the application of management tools.

Expected Qualifications:
• Significant track record of successful work.
• Leadership and Management in Operations or equivalent.

Other Important Points:
• Experience in Bouldering / Climbing.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Emergency First Aid at Work.

Climbing Wall and High Ropes Course technicians required.,
We are looking for experienced Climbing Wall and High Ropes Course Installation technicians. We are based in Threlkeld and the work will involve manufacturing in the workshop and on-site work all over the UK.
Applicants should have experience in either High Ropes Installation or Climbing Wall manufacture and Installation preferably with another similar specialist company.
Essential attributes:
Experience at working at height, preferably with an IRATA qualification.
• CIS card
• Experience of safe rigging techniques and methods.
• IPAF Certificate
• Experienced at working with detailed engineering drawings
• Experienced at writing Risk Assessments and method statements and working to strict H &S guidelines.
• Steel fabrication and installation experience
• Clean driving licence
• Available to work away from home and as part of a team


Preferable attributes:

• Welding experience
• Joinery skills
• GRP experience

Workshop Technicians-King Kong Climbing Walls,
We are looking for additional Workshop Technicians to work in our factory in Threlkeld. The work will involve steel fabrication, painting, GRP work and joinery.
Full training will be given.
Essential attributes
• Good communication skills
• Joinery experience
• Steel fabrication experience
• Painting and DIY experience

Preferable attributes:
• CIS card
• IPAF Certificate
• Experienced at working with detailed engineering drawings
• Steel fabrication and installation experience
• Clean driving licence
• Available to work away from home and as part of a team
• Working with GRP
