Its started and they have changed the scoring format.  Seems to be zones, tops and attempts.  Can someone explain the correlation please.

I am presuming a flash is 1top, 1 attempt

Say the person gets the ''zone' on first go but tops second then it becomes 1t2 with 1z1

Is this correct?

In reply to Andrew Kin:

Hi Andrew. All they have done is change from Tops, Attempts at top, Bonuses, Attempts at bonuses to Tops, Bonuses, Attempts at top, attempts at bonus, with the proviso that a bonus is now called a zone.

I think the rationale is that it makes it more important to achieve the bonus, so will result in less people "giving up" on a bloc to save on attempts / energy.

so in your example it used to be 1t2 1b1, its now 1,1,2,1.

Thanks Ian.

So how would a flash be written.......1,1,1,1?

Looking at Shauna score so far

3t4

5z11

So that's 3top out of 4 attempts

5 zones out of 11 attempts

or as you wrote it

3,5,4,11

Correct?

Spot on.

I'm just surprised that they arent showing the scores in the new format - it would be helpful if thats what they are going to use, and its not exactly a massive technological change!

Graeme Alderson - whats occurring??
